Foundation History of “SAKASTAC

Sakastac

Training of highly qualified staff in aviation field was a complicated problem. Training of Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) was especially vital problem, as there was now modern Aviation School equipped with high technologies, capable to provide the training/re-training of these specialists. Moreover there was no ATC High School, were the training of new generation would be possible.

In order to solve this problem “SAKAERONAVIGATSIA”, Ltd. had to conduct the training/re-training courses of the local staff abroad, with high costs.
The training of one student in “RUDLOE COLLEGE” costs from 1200$ up to 1600$ per week, and from 75000$ up to 85000$ per annum, without transportation and living costs. Cost of their training in Georgia is 799$ per week, and 38352$ per annum.
With the initiative of the authorities of “SAKAERONAVIGATSIA”, Ltd. to replenish the staff and to reduce the costs, negotiations were conducted with English company “ASTAC”, Ltd. in order to found a joint training-center in Georgia. “ASTAC”, Ltd. is an English company. It owns “RUDLOE COLLEGE”, the institution with modern equipment and fully conforming to ICAO standards.

In 2005, because of the above-mentioned negotiations, the joint Georgian-English enterprise (Training Center) “SAKASTAC”, Ltd. was founded.

The Training Center is located in Tbilisi on the territory of the International Airport in newly built building owned by “SAKAERONAVIGATSIA”, Ltd. The invited British Instructors accredited according to the International Standards conduct the education process. The local staff is trained in Great Britain for instructors simultaneously, and the local staff will replace the invited instructors by stages.
