Visit of EUROCONTROL’s Experts to Georgia

The experts of international organization EUROCONTROL are in Georgia at the invitation of Sakaeronavigatsia. Within the frameworks of the working meeting with the representatives of the EUROCONTROL Performance Review Unit (PRU), the cost efficiency report incurred for air traffic control was submitted to Sakaeronavigatsia, which covers all the EUROCONTROL Member States and is based on objective surveys, data analysis and consultations with the European Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs).

The cost-effectiveness report incurred for air traffic control is a unique way for the ANSPs to thoroughly analyze annual cost-effectiveness and outline future improvement plans.

Within the frameworks of the visit, the EUROCONTROL Performance Review Unit presented a new online platform to Sakaeronavigatsia. This website provides stakeholders with an opportunity to review the key indicators of cost-effectiveness incurred for air traffic control and their analysis. Through this interactive website, ANSPs will be able to provide the desired, specific analysis and presentations.

After the meeting, the guests visited the regional ATC center and the operating room. The PRU representatives received the information about the works being done for the improvement of flight safety and aeronautical services from the Georgian side. At the same time, the guests got acquainted with the infrastructural projects implemented by Sakaeronavigatsia in order to upgrade the existing ATC systems and to introduce modern technologies.
